The iWG material characterization combines analytical expertise with skills from the project areas of inspiration, components, production and sustainability. In regular meetings, the doctoral students work on current challenges and thus promote intensive, productive collaboration. This forms the basis for analytically-founded material development - from reinforcement production and manufacturing methods to end-of-life scenarios and recycling processes.

The TRR receives material-specific characteristic properties from the iWG, which form the basis for the development of numerical models and life cycle assessments.
