D Manufacturing

The initial focus is on two principles for the production of material-minimised carbon-reinforced concrete elements by generative manufacturing through selective material deposition of mineral matrix and carbon fiber reinforcement, accompanied by the development of methods for the three-dimensional analysis of such structures, e.g. using computer tomography. The knowledge of the internal morphology of the composite material and the elements will support the further development of manufacturing processes and will support to a deeper understanding of the load-bearing mechanisms of novel carbon-reinforced concrete structures.
