Successful Doctorate of Mr. Shantanu Bhat at RWTH Aachen University

On September 16, 2025, Mr. Shantanu Bhat, M.Sc., successfully defended his doctoral dissertation at RWTH Aachen University.
The topic of his dissertation is: “Interdisciplinary Methodology for Design and Technology Chain Planning of Textile Reinforced Concrete Panels.”

With this work, he makes an important contribution to the construction industry, which is among the most resource- and emission-intensive sectors worldwide. Textile-reinforced concrete is considered a lightweight, durable, and sustainable material that enables significant savings in both material use and CO₂ emissions. The approach developed by Mr. Bhat provides architects, engineers, and manufacturers with a practical guideline for the efficient planning and implementation of TRC projects. His methodology was successfully validated on both real and conceptual demonstrators, proving its applicability from small sample panels to large-scale construction projects.
