Building for the future – resource-efficient and material-minimized constructions for our cities

How can we build resource-efficient and material-minimized bridge structures for the city of tomorrow? On February 6, two presentations will shed light on innovative approaches: Laurent Ney, from Ney & Partners, Brussels, will present bridges as connections in time and space—structures that optimally combine architecture, construction, and context. Prof. Angela Mensing-de Jong talks about the transformation of urban spaces in the context of climate change adaptation and the mobility transition. She shows designs by students from her project “St. Petersburger Straße – From Traffic to Living Space,” which were already exhibited at the ZfBK in 2025.
