Future Outlook for the Südpark: Students Design for the BUGA 2033!
From June 15–19, 2026, Technische Universität Dresden opened its doors for the "Architecture and Construction Talks" project week. An exciting mission awaited 23 enthusiastic middle and high school students (grades 8 to 10): to develop their own architectural concepts for the 2033 Federal Horticultural Show (BUGA) in Dresden!
From the initial design process and first sketches to the finished models, the students worked in small groups to create unique ideas for two interconnected structures: a viewing platform made of wood and a gathering hub made of carbon concrete. There was no better or more inspiring workspace for this than our carbon concrete building, the CUBE.
The final presentations incredibly impressed us—a huge compliment to these young people for their design creativity and commitment!
