CRC/TRR 280 Represented at WCCM-ECCOMAS 2026 in Munich

From July 19 to 24, 2026, members of SFB/TRR 280 presented their latest research at the 17th World Congress on Computational Mechanics (WCCM-ECCOMAS 2026) in Munich.

In addition to numerous presentations by our early-career researchers, the team actively shaped the scientific program: Prof. Sven Klinkel and Prof. Rostislav Chudoba (both RWTH Aachen University) organized and chaired the two-part minisymposium “MS050A: Computational and Experimental Approaches for Slender Concrete Structures.”

Networking at the FRC Event

Another highlight was the 10th anniversary celebration of the IACM Female Researchers Chapter (FRC). Marja-Lisa Herrmann, Verena Curoșu, and Leonie Koch represented SFB/TRR 280 at this special evening dedicated to research recognition, mentoring, and international networking for women in computational mechanics.
