The autumn meeting of the SFB/TRR 280 featured presentations of current findings and new concepts. Prior to the official program, a workshop was held with physicist Robert J. Lang, who showcased innovative folding structures using origami techniques. These approaches opened up new perspectives for applications in construction.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to get to know the new doctoral researchers for the projects. They contributed advanced ideas and presented their concepts for innovative construction methods. In four working groups, concrete approaches for implementing demonstrators made from carbon-reinforced concrete were developed, emphasizing sustainable construction practices.
The autumn meeting once again underscored the importance of interdisciplinary exchange and collaboration for progress in developing forward-looking construction methods.
