The very first AdvanceAEC Autumn School will lay the foundation for an annually recurring format. This year's AdvanceAEC Autumn School will be hosted by IntCDC and will take place as part of the Stuttgart AEC Promotion Week.
It is aimed at early career researchers, e.g. master students, PhD students and postdocs from the partner institutions of the AdvanceAEC network.
In workshops organized by members of the partner institutions, young scientists will have the opportunity to explore theoretical concepts, test practical skills and become familiar with manufacturing processes, programming languages and computer programs. The 2022 courses will include social sciences, computer science and computation, concrete design, carbon concrete structures, robotics and manufacturing. In addition, participation in the CRC 1244 conference is offered.
The AdvanceAEC Autumn School will also enable young scientists to get to know each other and to network with members of the partner organizations. On the one hand, networking workshops in the areas of equal opportunity and start-up supporting measures, a poster session for networking among doctoral students and a workshop on career development specifically designed for postdocs and senior research associates (pre-professorship) will be offered. On the other hand, a social program provides opportunities for informal networking.
